The Effect of Eight Weeks of Water Training on Postural Control and Balance Recovery Strategies in 60-70 Years Old Elderly Men

Background and Aims The risk of falling in people increases with aging. Aquatic exercises create a secure environment for people, they can reduce the among elderly people. This study aimed to investigate effect 8 weeks aquatic on postural control balance recovery strategies. Methods Thirty from Kerman province were selected participate research, randomly divided into (Mean±SD age 63.67±2.58 years, height 169.27±4.74 cm, weight 71.00±6.95 kg) intervention groups 65.00±3.07 169.50±27.34 71.200±4.31 kg). strategies during sudden movement by treadmill evaluated using Biodex motion analysis system. group participated (3 times 45 minutes per week) challenge physical proprioceptive acuity, while lived without any interventions. Data analyzed ANCOVA Pearson correlation tests (P<0.05). Results results showed significant improvement scores Balance moved hip toward ankle onset time muscle activity electrical activation muscles elders after participating this Conclusion approved that water training has significantly affected ability posture changing pattern increased stability improved balance.
